And... JUST under the wire for my last Nablopomo!  (I was GLUED to the game.)

No country has EVER won 14 golds in the Winter games.  But now Canada has!

So Proud.

yay! I was just going to google the results for the game (husband has dominated the tv today) and I saw your post in my igoogle lol. Congrats! I'm kinda sad the Olympics are ending :( What will I watch during the day?

BBC? When I'm mentally tired and my French-brain is fried, it's where I go. Either that or to the Flemish channels that sometimes play stuff in English but with Dutch subtitles.

Believe it or not, flipping through French TV until you find something you can bear, something you like, or even a French-dubbed sitcom from the states may help with your French! Supposedly Salma Hayek says that watching a lot of American tv was what helped her to pick up English quickly. At first it can be frustrating, but it gets easier!

Yeah I am definitely big on the BBC. We just got the Voo recorder thingy so now we have all 4 channels. It's like Christmas everyday now that we get English channels other than fox news, which I tolerated in Italy since there was really nothing EVER on. But I don't mind watching French or Dutch tv if something interesting. We watch a lot of the Rai though (the husband is Italian) so I think my Italian is improving more than my french...But I'll miss the Olympic reruns during the day. That's (sadly?) been the highlight of my days the last few weeks.

Yay Canada! I'm a Canadian here in Brussels and I thought the Olympics this year were fantastic. It was great to see our country represent itself so well!
